WHY ARE WE CAMPAIGNING FOR A PEOPLE'S NHS?
In the countdown to this year’s General Election, the NHS will be one of the most important election issues. It is a therefore a key moment for us to demand the kind of NHS we all deserve: A ‘People’s NHS’.
Wherever possible we should try and focus our messaging on the 5 central demands of our campaign:
- A PUBLICLY PROVIDED NHS: END PRIVATE INVOLVEMENT
- AN NHS FUNDED TO SUCCEED – NOT DEFUNDED TO FAIL
- RESPECT, RECOGNITION, AND DECENT PAY & CONDITIONS FOR ALL HEALTH WORKERS
- RE-INVEST IN PUBLIC HEALTH & TACKLE HEALTH INEQUALITIES
- REBUILD, RESTORE, AND EXPAND OUR NHS
