Leeds | Winter Crisis Day of Action

A protest to end the winter – and all-year – crisis in our NHS!
We call on the Government to:
Reverse cuts to hospital beds – stop warehousing patients in corridor and makeshift wards (some of which, in Leeds, are staffed by private firms)!
Restore safe occupancy levels – 85% of capacity, not the current 95% +
Fill the 100,000 empty posts including over 40,000 nurses
Pay for vital repairs and equipment – £6.5 bn needed now!
Reverse £7bn cuts to Social Services which have have left 1.4m people without the support they need and many stuck in hospital
Stop wasteful and unaccountable privatisation of our health service
