Keep Our NHS Public stood shoulder to shoulder with the junior doctors as they picketed their trusts on Tuesday 12 January, up and down the country.
Here are just some examples showing KONP in its rightful place: at the heart of the battle to save the NHS, by winning over hearts and minds against this government’s appalling lack of care and devious tactics to sell off our NHS by cheapening its workforce. We will not let that happen in silence. We will be there. Please, join us and save the NHS. We’ve put the links to local groups in, to make it easier.
Tameside – Greater Manchester:
Liverpool – University Hospital:
The picket at University Hospital was addressed by a KONP member – as one of its inpatients! Listen to what he said: from hospital. Sam Semoff is one of KONP Merseyside’s most active. Even, as it turns out, when he is having his health saved by the NHS while trying to save it. OurNHS featured Sam’s thoughts as a blog.
Dewberry, West Yorkshire:
Chesterfield:
York:
London – Whittington Hospital:

Pictures from Arrowe Park Hospital (Wirral) are included in our Facebook page above.
Happy to see ALL groups defending the NHS out in force yesterday, Kevin. Our website traffic doubled – so people are taking notice. We can win this – but we mustn’t give up!
It is a disgrace that these comitted doctors have had to take this stand the government needs tostop this dismantling of the nhs hang your heads in shame if you voted tory
And we wholeheartedly agree, Clare! Thanks for saying it. We got a noticeable ‘spike’ in people visiting this site yesterday – double, in fact. So people are taking notice. They do care. Which of course they should.
