Judicial Appeal: Save South Tyneside Hospital

Stand with Save South Tyneside Hospital campaigners to safeguard the future of South Tyneside Hospital and its acute and emergency services.
The Appeal relates to the first phase of the downgrading of hospital services set in motion by South Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which affects children’s A&E, the Special Care Baby Unit, and the full maternity services and obstetrics and stroke services. The appeal case holds that the consultation carried out in relation to these changes was unlawful, that the population of South Tyneside stands to lose access to these vital services, and that services at neighbouring trusts are already overcrowded and cannot cope as things stand.
