Patients Not Passports: Taking Action to End the Hostile Environment

The NHS as we know it is under threat. Hostile Environment immigration policies have eroded the universal founding principles of our health service, restricting access to care for migrants, introducing up-front charging, sharing patient data with the Home Office and denying care to hundreds of thousands of people. Greater Manchester Keep Our NHS Public is campaigning for free access to the NHS for anyone in the country, regardless of immigration status, and against the use of the NHS as a tool for immigration control.
This event is for those of you who potentially would like to get involved in the campaign: we will tell you what we’ve done so far, but also hear your ideas and have a lot of time for discussion. It will be an opportunity to explore how you can get involved, and for action-planning so that we can take forward the campaign to end the Hostile Environment in the NHS together.
