Under the Knife: free screenings nationwide!

14th October 2019 - 9:00 AM - 18th October 2019 - 5:00 PM

SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS OF THE INDIVIDUAL SCREENINGS AROUND THE COUNTRY

Under the Knife is a new film from veteran medical journalist Pam Kleinot and award-winning director Susan Steinberg. Casting an eye over the history of the NHS, the efforts of successive recent governments to privatise the service, and the grass-roots campaigners who are fighting back, the film is a powerful and penetrating 90-minute experience. You can view a trailer for the film here.

Tony O’Sullivan, Co-Chair of Keep Our NHS Public, says:

“This is the best film around on the NHS. UNDER THE KNIFE shows the vital importance of the NHS to society and exposes the dark threats facing it. But most important of all, the film gives hope to those who are campaigning to keep the NHS safe for our children. You just have to see it.”

The filmmakers are working with Keep Our NHS Public local groups around the country to plan an ambitious programme of around 20 launch screenings up and down the country in the week commencing 14 October, partnering with varied trade unions, health campaigners and local organisations. These screenings are intended to be free for NHS workers, health campaigners, pensioners and medical students.

If you’d be interested in putting on a screening in your community, we’d love to hear from you. Email us at [email protected] to get in touch!
