Don’t miss this campaigners conference building our unstoppable movement to save the NHS
Health Campaigns Together and The People’s Assembly Against Austerity are working together once again to bring the biggest-ever national NHS Campaigners’ Conference to broaden and strengthen our networks up and down the country.
Venue: Hammersmith Town Hall, London, W6 9LE
Time: Saturday 4 November Registration: 10.30 Conference: 11am – 4.30pm
Registration from 10am: Doors open for stalls, coffee and registration from 10am, to ensure a prompt start at 11
Our demands: The broad themes and demands of the conference will be the same as those that galvanised hundreds of thousands at #ourNHS demo 4 March 2017:
- No Cuts or Closures
- No Privatisation
- Fair Pay for NHS staff
Our speakers: We have an exciting platform of speakers confirmed from leading trade unions and councillors to local campaigners and life-long activists, including:
- Dr Chaand Nagpaul, Chair of BMA
- Sara Gorton, head of Unison health
- Ken Loach, BAFTA award winning film director
- Julian Bell and Steven Cowan, Council Leaders who have rejected STPs in London
Your role: But the most important contributions will come from you and the delegates. It is absolutely essential that we hear from you and we urge you to come and share your experiences, ideas, strategies and vision with like-minded others at this conference to build pressure against a collapsing Government. We expect this to be an important and influential turning point for #ourNHS.
Agenda for the day: Following introductory speakers, the format of the day will be structured into 2 halves:
- Workshops on key campaigning issues identified by our affiliates
- Geographical networking and alliance building
This will then be closed by a Plenary Session.
A finalised agenda will be published at: www.healthcampaignstogether.com and a detailed leaflet for the event which we encourage you to print and share is available for download or in printed form.
